Anova Fertility & Reproductive Health

I am a long time infertility sufferer and suffer from endometriosis that has affected my ability to ever conceive my own child. I sought help from Anova Fertility in Toronto and was a patient of Dr. Marjorie Dixon. I first started at Anova January 2023 when my fertility was being questioned, as I was being treated by Anova Fertility, my fiance and I both trusted the clinic to help us start our family. We were highly recommended by a family member who had success with Anova and we decided we would give it a chance. We did our first round of IVF April 2023 for a long 3 weeks, we ended up with 1 embryo and did a fresh transfer that ended up failing. We were devastated and wanted to try again. As my fiance and I both spoke with Dr. Dixon about our options she failed to treat us like humans, but instead treated us like a customer and cash cow. Not only did we spend $25,000 on a failed round, that was not covered by the government grant, she immediately proceeded to tell us our best option was to seek a donor for donor egg. We were beyond shocked that she would insist for us to go this route after just 1 failed round. It felt insensitive, it felt cold and at that point felt like a business instead of a care facility. A year later, we decided to go the donor route with a clinic abroad and about to get ready to do an embryo transfer, I reached out to Anova Fertility as I am still a patient there and requested if I could book an appointment with them for cycle monitoring for 1 day. At this point I only need an ultrasound and blood work done as they are a clinic that provides results instantly. Christina, the nurse practitioner called me back and stated that they do not do satellite monitoring and that she spoke with Dr. Dixon and she refused to assist in my need. Mind you that these two services are covered by OHIP. I only need the results that can be given to me and I can pass it on to my clinic abroad. Christina stated that if I wanted to have these two services done that I can go back to my family doctor to have them send me to an ultrasound clinic and get my blood work done somewhere else, a service that still is covered by OHIP, but does not give instant results. My heart dropped from utter disappointment. My shock in having my fertility clinic refuse to help me in my journey to motherhood and was instead told to go somewhere else, simply because they couldn't make money out of me. I am telling you this story as a desperate person just trying to start my family and in desperate need for a clinic to help me for just one day. I want other women and families to know that Anova is not really there to help you if its not for their own gain. I am disappointed, angry, hurt and lost and don't know what to do at this point. But as a woman who suffers infertility and having the door slammed in my face is beyond the word disrespect. After all the money I spent at that clinic only to be refused a service. Please let me be heard, other people are suffering this quiet stigmatized topic and I want to bring it to light for others who may have had the same experience.

Forever thankful for the team at Anova. The receptionists were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help. Thank you LaToya, Noris, & Shannon! The ultrasound tech and blood lab tech were very gentle and kind. Lastly, Dr. Prema was so knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to my concerns. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and I honestly felt I was in the best hands. Thank you Anova for all that you do!

I had an embryo transfer done yesterday and I was so happy with the clinic I decided to write a review right away. The nurses and Doctor were all very kind and the location is very clean and bright. I loved the little areas you go into before your procedure. I can’t recommend acupuncture with Seya enough. She’s kind, personable and sets you at ease. She treated me like a queen. I would give 10🌟 if I could! Thanks guys!

After my first zoom appt with the Dr. it took a while before I was contacted for the instructions but I understand that they have been busy and apparently somebody left so it took time to sort things out. Been doing monitoring in this clinic 4 times now and everyones very helpful,pleasant, and professional. Glad I waited.

This place is a joke. Don't waste your time. For my IUIs, they get under qualified nurses to do it. At my second IUI, a nurse walked into the room without knocking to look for something when I was being inseminated. She didn't even apologize or anything, this was right when I was being inseminated. Their prices are also much higher than any other fertility clinic. Customer service is horrible. Doctor is not knowledgeable and lacked empathy. They just want your money. If you want to actually get pregnant, go somewhere else. I went to Create and got pregnant.

My experience with Anova was nothing short of amazing. All the nurses/technicians were so kind and welcoming. Dr. Dixon made me feel so comfortable. I felt like my voices was really heard here and everyone had my best interest at heart. Thank you to everyone at Anova for the amazing experience donating my eggs!

Dr Goldberg was empathetic to my symptoms and heard me out when other doctors would probably just go by the results and lab ranges, she at least referred me to a specialist that would further investigate my symptoms to be very sure which I appreciated. I don’t love how the appointments are online as it freezes at times and I just like seeing a doctor in person. But my overall experience with her was positive and I’m thankful I saw her. I don’t love their phone system. It’s difficult to get a hold of the office. Once I had the correct email for the secretary it was easier. But I wish there was someone who picked up the phones. Overall I’m happy with how she interacted with me as a patient. Some doctors are very quick and don’t give you the time of day.

The most irresponsible clinic. We were referred to a specialist by the clinic, and were told all the test results were sent to the specialist. After 3 months waiting when we see the specialist , nothing was actually sent there. At the end, the specialist read test results from my phone, which I paid the clinic in total around 100 to keep as a copy for myself. Also, one of the results is abnormal, but the clinic doctor Mahmoud said everything is normal! He didn’t even read the results! I don’t know how we can trust this clinic for such huge family decisions!
