I am writing to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with the quality of service I have received at this Clinic As a patient seeking healthcare assistance, I regret to inform you that my experience has been less than satisfactory. I feel compelled to address the issue of appointment cancellations made without my consent, which has led to unnecessary inconvenience and disruption to my healthcare plan. Moreover, the lack of communication and unresponsiveness from the clinic staff when attempting to reach out via phone calls has further exacerbated my concerns. It is evident that there is a lack of genuine care and consideration for patients at this clinic as I have felt like just a number in the system rather than a valued individual seeking medical attention. The disregard for patient well-being and the dismissive manner in which concerns are handled reflect poorly on the professionalism and ethics of the clinic. Furthermore, the opaque and questionable practices regarding billing and charges, particularly in relation to government funding, have raised alarming doubts regarding the transparency and integrity of the clinic's financial operations. I urge the management of in this clinic to address these issues promptly and take the necessary steps to improve the quality of patient care and communication. As a conscientious healthcare consumer, I believe it is essential for medical facilities to prioritize patient welfare and uphold the highest standards of service excellence.

My partner and I have been trying to conceive for two long years, enduring both IVF and six rounds of IUIs at OFC. Unfortunately, our journey has been riddled with disappointment and frustration. Despite our hopes, our IVF experience yielded only two embryos, neither of which resulted in a successful pregnancy. The clinic never adequately explained the possibility of embryos failing to survive the thaw, leaving us feeling blindsided and betrayed. (We didn't even get to try with our second embryo) The lack of transparency regarding potential outcomes is just one example of the clinic's negligence. Throughout our time at OFC, we encountered numerous mistakes that ultimately derailed our treatment cycles. Despite voicing our concerns and frustrations, we never felt that OFC prioritized our well-being or took our journey seriously. Our frustration reached a boiling point when we felt compelled to speak with the nurse director about the clinic's recurring errors. To our dismay, she broke down in tears during our conversation, expressing her inability to control her team and address the ongoing issues. This display of incompetence and dysfunction within the clinic's leadership was disheartening, to say the least. Our final interaction with the clinic, involving Dr. Shmorgun, who identifies himself as the medical director, was nothing short of disappointing. His title is laughable considering the problems we encountered under his supposed leadership. Especially not knowing what his doctors are saying to patients. In summary, our experience at the Ottawa Fertility Clinic has been nothing short of a nightmare. The clinic's negligence, lack of transparency, and inability to address recurring mistakes have left us feeling defeated. Patients deserve better than the subpar care provided by OFC, and I urge anyone considering fertility treatment to proceed with caution or go somewhere else.

They are very friendly and nice, but their communication is an area of improvement. It’s impossible to reach them by the phone, I’ve always been sent to voicemail, when I called. Also, now it’s impossible to email them, all the emails I was trying to sent was undeliverable recently. Not being able to send an email to your nurse is so inefficient. In addition, I was very frustrated that my Doctor and nurses didn’t tell us, than genetically testing is available for embryos before they get frozen. It is extra cost, but we we’re willing to pay it to save time and emotional/physical energy to go through embryo transfers the success of which we could know in advance. So, for example, if out of 5 embryos you got, 3 are genetically abnormal, you don’t have to torture your body with hormones and emotional attachment to them. Instead, you could only proceed with the ones which have chances to implant and save your resources. That was a big disappointment and why for me.

I’m a very disappointed with the clinic. I went through all the tests, along with my husband and told everything was normal and went through with iui’s and ivf. Eventually told we are unexplained. I took it upon myself to go get other opinions took a few years with all the wait times only to find out I have a heart shaped uterus and a septate uterus which is can cause infertility and miscarriages. They can perform a surgery and I was never told any of this. This does show up on an ultrasound. Not sure how this got missed and why would you put me through all this and not give me options knowing this.
